Granmonte Heritage Syrah 2020

The Syrah for this wine was picked from seventeen-year-old blocks of vines on a slope with darker soil and good drainage. The grapes were hand-harvested at night in the month of February with 23-24°Brix and naturally high acidity, exemplifying the uniqueness of vineyard conditions in tropical Thailand. The Syrah grapes were destemmed and selected with the most advanced grape-sorting technology in Thailand.

This wine is full-bodied and fruit driven. It shows arrays of plum, blackcurrant, black pepper, dry spices and licorice. It is round, with ripe, mouth-filling tannins, yet balanced with a long lingering finish of vanilla oak undertone. It is pleasurable drinking on its own or with food. Heritage Syrah is crafted to be enjoyed with a few years of cellaring and will improve with age.
