PATRICE BÉGUET 'FRESH IMPRESSION BLANC' 2021
PATRICE BÉGUET 'FRESH IMPRESSION BLANC' 2021
Patrice Béguet and Caroline Hughes left the bright lights of Paris in 2009 to return home to pursue his dream of making experimental natural wine in the small village of Mesnay.
Making wine under Domaine Hughes Béguet, this is his négociant series, sourcing only organic grapes from in and around Jura. His lively wines are anything but predictable and are a joy to experience!
Each quirky and colourful label from this series has been painted by artist and illustrator Aya Sato.

The négociant series from Patrice.
The fruit is hand harvested from organic or biodynamic vineyards in Alsace (30% gewurtztraminer), Mont Vontoux (30% grenache blanc), Loire (30% melon de Bourgogne) and Jura (10% chardonnay and savagnin) from Patrice's own vineyards. 80% was direct press and 20% underwent maceration, all in stainless steel.
Floral orange blossom, herbal green ivy, zesty lemon/lime and hay. Juicy with a nice tangy acid that fills every crevices of the mouth. Delicious. Easy drinking. Easy decision.
